A paid plan with a card on file keeps sending past its included emails, billed at the plan's overage rate.
Reaching your plan's included volume no longer stops a paying project: pay-as-you-go is switched on for you, and what you send past the allowance is billed at your plan's overage rate. You can still turn it off, and Free projects and projects without a card keep their hard limit.
